Azerbaijani setting up electronic system for assessment of judicial activity

Informative-analytic reports concerning judicial processes in Azerbaijan will be automatically prepared by an electronic system, and work is underway to develop this electronic system, said Judge Ramin Gurbanov, head of the Justice Ministry’s working group on “Electronic Court” information system.

He made the remarks on Wednesday at an event titled “Integration of advocacy to electronic court information system”, APA reported.

Gurbanov noted that this system will use the criteria for assessment of judicial activity on the basis of court verdicts and the attitude of the Court of Appeal to these verdicts.

“It would be good if an electronic assessment system like this were to be set up for the Bar Association, too,” he said.

Gurbanov noted that it is important that payments to advocates for legal protection be made electronically.
