Up to 60% of last year’s deaths in Azerbaijan resulted from heart failure


The most common cause of deaths among the population in Azerbaijan in 2017 was cardiovascular diseases, Cardiologist surgeon, MP Rashad Mahmudov, announced at today’s meeting of the parliament’s healthcare committee, APA reported.

 

The MP added that 57.8% of the deaths during the past year in Azerbaijan resulted from heart failure.

 

“We should hold hearings and take actions to address this problem,” he said.
