Teimour Radjabov starts Grand-Prix with victory

Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. The second round of Grand-Prix chess tournament has begun in Sochi, Russia, APA-Sport reports.
Azeri players Teimour Radjabov and Vugar Hashimov are among 14 international grandmasters to join the tournament.

Radjabov defeated Muhammed Al Modiaki (Qatar) in the 48th move of round 1. Hashimov managed to draw with Ivan Cheparinov (Bulgaria) in 45th move with blacks. Aleksandr Grishuk (Russia) beat Sergey Karyakin (Uraine). The encounters of Pyotr Svidler (Russia) - Gata Kamsky (USA), Boris Gelfand (Israel) - Dmitri Yakovenko (Russia), Van Jue (China) - Levon Aronian (Armenia) and David Navara (Czech Republic)- Vasili Ivancuk (Ukraine) ended in draws.
The encounters of D.Yakovenko - T.Radjabov, M.A.Modiaki - A.Grishuk, G.Kamsky - V.Ivanchuk, L.Aronian - D.Navara, V.Hashimov - B.Gelfand, P.Svidler - I.Cheparinov, S.Karyakin - V.Jue are to be played today.
Hashimov, Jue and Magnus Carlsen (Norway) were the winners of the Grand-Prix in Baku in April. Radjabov took the 8th-11th places.
