Russia-Armenia trade turnover up by 30 percent last year – Lavrov

Russia remains Armenia’s key trade partner, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 30 percent last year, Lavrov told a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Thursday, an APA correspondent reported from Moscow.

“Today’s talks with the Armenian foreign minister were constructive and in the spirit of the allied nations. We discussed trade and economic relations between the two countries,” Russia’s top diplomat said.

Lavrov expressed confidence that military-technical cooperation between Russia and Armenia will further develop.

In his turn, Armenian FM Mnatsakanyan said that Armenia remains committed to strengthening cooperation with Russia.
